“A film should not merely entertain and amuse the audience, but much more be an enriching experience that arouses interest in as yet unencountered subjects and broadens viewers’ horizons.

This belief is what drives me to edit films and underpins my approach to the editing process.”

I am Elisa, a film editor based in Berlin. The foundation of my craft has been formed by a three-year formal apprenticeship program and since 2017 I’m a full-time working film editor. This is complemented by my many and varied life experiences throughout the world, linguistic skills in German, English, French and Spanish, as well as an aptitude for acute observation and comprehension.

Through editing I want to further develop the medium of film as a stage for many inspiring stories and as a platform where important issues are brought to prominence. I also wish to be part of highlighting subjects of interest in the cultural sphere, and promoting progressive ideas, tolerance and equality.

I edit high quality formats such as reports, culture and music programs and documentaries. Much of my work has been for German broadcasters like Arte, ZDF, 3sat. KiKA and RTL+.

In addition to television formats, I also work on image and short films, as well as music and event videos.
